Tigers Upset Albany Tech 90-88; Williamson and Terrell Shine

ALBANY, Ga. -- The Andrew College men's basketball team took out the #4-seed Albany Tech on their home court on Tuesday night, 90-88, and advanced to the semi-finals of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Region 17 Men's Basketball Championship, where they will take on #1-seed Central Georgia Tech on Friday night in Macon, GA at 6:00 pm.

The Tigers rode Tim Williamson's 25 points, including 6 free throws in the final 90 seconds to ice the win. Williamson also pulled down 5 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and had 3 steals in the contest. Jaylon "JT" Terrell came off the bench and poured in a season-high 17 points, going 5 for 5 on 3's and pulled down 5 boards, Keith Littles added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a pair of steals, Tez Collins chipped in with 11 points, and Jermaine Glover added 10 points to round out the Tigers in double figures. Andrew had lost both games to Albany Tech in the regular season, 76-62 in mid January at their place, and two weeks ago in the Jinks Gymnasium, 55-52.

The Tigers are back in the semi-finals for the second year in a row, and split the regular season games with Central Georgia Tech, falling 66-61 in Macon, GA in late January, then rebounded with an 86-81 win in Jinks just a week ago.
