Andrew's Jalin Wimberly Named GCAA Player of the Week For 3rd Time This Season

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) announced the GCAA Men's Basketball Div. I Players of the Week for Week 15, and Andrew College's Jalin Wimberly brought home the award, the 3rd time he has been named this season. Wimberly averaged 22 points and 8 rebounds in the Tigers 87-77 win over East Ga. State on Wednesday and the 78-65 victory over Central Ga. Tech on Saturday. He was previously named Player of the Week in Week 3 and Week 8. This is Wimberly's 4th GCAA Men's Basketball Div. I Player of the Week award over his two seasons in Cuthbert. He was also named the NJCAA Div.I Men's Basketball Player of the Week, for the week of Jan. 22-29, 2018, last year. He is currently averaging 18.5 ppg, good for 2nd place in the GCAA.
