CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College men's basketball team continues to shatter program records, knocking off East Georgia State 87-77 in the Jinks Gymnasium Wednesday night, cementing the 1st-20 win season in program history, while drawing closer to a home playoff game. There are five teams within one game for 1st place in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA), and Andrew has a game left with two of them, Central Georgia Tech this Saturday in Warner Robins, and the home finale versus Georgia Highlands, the following Saturday. The Tigers are now 20-7 overall and 8-5 in the GCAA.
Jalin Wimberly racked up his 6th double-double of the season, pumping in 24 points, pulling down 10 rebounds, dishing out 6 assists, and adding a pair of steals in the win. Kristian Collins added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, Dereck Lampkin tossed in 14 points and pulled down 8 boards, and Solomon Hall came off the bench to drop in 9 points and pull down 5 rebounds for the Tigers.
The Tigers head to Warner Robins for a show down with Central Georgia Tech on Saturday. The Titans boast a 10-4 GCAA record, and are in 1st place.
