Tigers Sweep Weekend Games; Run Record to 5-0

WAYCROSS. Ga. -- The Andrew College men's basketball team traveled to Waycross, bringing their undefeated record against a pair of traditionally tough opponents, and won both contests, knocking off State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) 106-97 in overtime, Saturday night, then beating Denmark Tech(SC) 76-72 on Sunday. 

Against SCF, the Tigers had five players in double figures, with Jalin Wimberly pumping in a game-high 31 points, Dereck Lampkin adding 19 points and 9 rebounds, Marcus Kirkland putting up a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards, Jordan Booker, also with a double-double, scoring 15 points and adding 10 assists, and Kristian Collins contributed 12 poits and 5 rebounds in the overtime win.

The game against Denmark Tech was a back and forth affair, as Wimberly and Booker led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points each, with Booker adding a game-high 8 assists off the bench, Moses Jones, also came off the bench to add 10 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists, Tim Williamson and Lampkin each chipped in 9 points, and Kirkland had 7 points, as the Tigers ran their record to 5-0 on the season.
