Andrew College's Ijon Owens Named GCAA Div. I Player of the Week

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Ijon Owens, a freshman guard from Cordele, GA and Crisp County High School was named the GCAA Div. I Men's Player of the Week. It is the 1st such honor for a men's basketball player in Andrew College history. Head Coach Jamie Brooks had this to say about Owens, "We are excited for Ijon, he is just a great guy first, and works so hard at everything he does. He is as humble a person as they come and it shows our young team that hard work pays off."

Over two games this past week, Owens averaged 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
