Tiger Baseball Pummels East Georgia State in Regular Season Finale; Postseason on Monday

SWAINSBORO, Ga. -- The Andrew College Baseball team tuned up for the opening of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) playoffs on Thursday in Sawinsboro, GA, rapping out 14 hits and 11 runs, to cruise to an 11-4 win over East Georgia State in the regular season's final game 

The Tigers used nine pitchers, who each threw 1 inning, with starter Alex Blount picking up his 3rd victory of the season, while the Tiger bats exploded for 4 runs in the top of the 1st inning, 3 more in the 2nd inning, then another 4 runs in the 5th to give the pitching staff all the cushion they needed.  

Brayden Eavenson led the Tiger attack, going 4 for 6 with a pair of RBI, Blake Falor was 2 for 5 with a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI, McCage Pruitt had a hit and 3 RBI, Trevor Gruskza went 3 for 6 with a double, a stolen base and a pair of runs scored, and Jack Hay was 2 for 4 with a run scored.

Andrew begins the GCAA playoffs against ABAC on Monday at 4:00 pm at the Lake Point Sports Complex in Emerson, GA
