Tiger Baseball Rolls Over Georgia Highlands 5-2; Blount Dominates on the Bump

EMERSON, Ga. -- For the second time in a week, Alex Blount took the mound and dominated, tossing a complete game seven-hitter, while fanning 8 batters, and the Tigers took down Georgia Highlands 5-2 at the Lake Pointe Complex on Tuesday night.  

The offense put up 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning, the Chargers answered with a run in the 7th and 8th innings, then Andrew added a big insurance run in the top of the 9th inning, when McCage Pruitt doubled, then scored on Ben Crawley's two-out single to provide the winning margin in the 5-2 win. Crawley finished 2 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI, Jack Hay went 2 for 5 with a run scored and an RBI, Pruitt was 2 for 4 with a double and a pair of runs scored, and Kyle Kuramoto was 2 for 4 with a run scored.

The Tigers are back at the Hord Athletic Complex for a single nine inning game against ABAC. First pitch is at 5:00 pm.
