Baseball Splits With East Georgia State; Crowe Dominates Complete Game 4-Hitter

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Baseball split a doubleheader and the four-game series with East Georgia State on Saturday at the Hord Athletic Complex, dropping the opener 8-1, before rebounding behind starter Seth Crowe, who tossed a complete game, four-hitter while fanning 8, to pick up his team-leading 5th win on the season, for the 8-1 win in the nightcap.

After being held to just six hits in the 8-1 loss, the Tiger bats came to life in the nightcap, breaking open a 1-0 game with 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, then adding 3 more in the 5th to cruise to the 8-1 win. Brayden Eavenson paced the offense, going 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI, while also adding a run scored and his team-leading 22nd stolen base, Trevor Gruskza went 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Ben Crawley cranked out his 1st homer of the season, Blake Falor went 2 for 3 with a run scored, Kyle Kuramoto was 2 for 4 with a run scored, while Austin Waller, Mitch Cowan, and Jack Hay each singled in a run, which was Hay's team-leading 37th RBI of the year. 

The Tigers travel to Emerson, GA for a single nine inning game against Georgia Highlands on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
