Andrew Baseball Sweeps Thomas Univ. JV 8-5 & 12-3; Run Win Streak To Four Games

THOMASVILLE, Ga -- The Andrew College Baseball team rolled over the Thomas University JV 8-5 & 12-3 on Wednesday night in Thomasville, GA, pounding out 24 hits and 20 runs, winning for the 6th time in 7 games, and moving their season record to 8-5 on the year.

Blake Falor belted his first homer of the year, a 3-run shot in the 1st inning, JT Whatley and Mitch Cowan each doubled in a run, Dekel Williams singled in a run, Trevor Gruskza tripled and scored, Kyle Kuramoto doubled and scored, and Brayden Eavenson went 2 for 3, while Garrett Green tossed 2.1 innings in relief to pick up his 2nd win on the year, in the 8-5 win.

Andrew scored 7 runs in the top of the 3rd inning in game two, and cruised to the 12-3 win in the nightcap. Ben Crawley led the way, going 3 for 5 with a run scored and 3 RBI, Eavenson was 2 for 2 with a double, a pair of runs scored, and 3 RBI, Austin Waller went 2 for 5 with a double, a triple, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI, and Gruskza was 3 for 4 with a triple and an RBI and a run scored. Seth Crowe scattered 3 hits over 5.0 innings, while striking out 3 to record his 2nd win of the season, still not having yielded an earned run in 14.2 innings of work.

Andrew is back at the Hord Athletic Complex for a 1:00 pm doubleheader against CVCC (AL).
