Baseball Rallies in 9-8 Win Over L.B.W; Williams With Walk Off Home Run

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College baseball team rallied from 6-1 and 8-3 deficits on Tuesday night against Lurleen B. Wallace (LBW) at the Hord Athletic Complex, winning in dramatic fashion on Dekel William's solo homer leading off the bottom of the 9th inning, walking off the 9-8 win.

Shoddy fielding from LBW and timely hitting from the Tigers pulled Andrew into an 8-8 tie heading into the 7th inning, where Andrew Parr shut the door on the Saints, tossing 3.0 innings of shutout baseball while fanning 4 to pick up the victory, and Williams belted a 3-2 fastball to left to give the Tigers the 9-8 win, their first lead all night.

Kyle Kuramoto paced the Tiger offense, going 4 for 5 with 3 RBI, Williams finished 1 for 3 with a homer and 2 RBI, and JT Whatley was 2 for 5 with a pair of runs scored, as the Tigers picked up their 4th win in 5 games, running their season record to 6-5.

The Tigers travel to Thomasville, GA on Wednesday for a 3:00 pm doubleheader against Thomas JV.
