Tiger Baseball Sweeps Thomas JV 13-8 & 12-5

THOMASVILLE,Ga. -- The Andrew College baseball team won its second doubleheader in a row, taking out Thomas University JV 13-8 and 12-5 on Tuesday night in Thomasville, GA, rumbling to double digit runs and hits for the third straight game, and taking its record to 12-1-1 on the season.

The Tigers banged out 17 hits in the game one 13-8 win, as Jonathan Manibusan was 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles, three runs scored, and 2 RBI, Peyton Adams went 3 for 5 with a pair of RBI, Griffin Long doubled, hit his 2nd homer, and drove in two runs, and JT Whatley went 2 for 4 with an RBI, as 11 different Tigers had hits. Logan Seehafer fanned 4 in 4 innings of work to run his record to 2-0 on the year.

Manibusan again paced the attack in game two, going 3 for 3, tripling, scoring three times, with 2 RBI, Jacob Pierce went 3 for 4, doubling, scoring twice, and driving in one, Jack Hay belted his 1st homer of the year, a grand slam in the 4th inning, Kaleb Podger was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI, and Chase Porter went 2 for 2 with a double in the 12-5 win. Starter Keyshaun Mays tossed 5 innings, scattering 7 hits, and striking out 4 to pick up his 1st win of the season.

The Tigers are back at the Hord Athletic Complex on Wednesday for a 1:00 pm doubleheader against Lurleen B. Wallace (AL).
