Tigers Handle Central Alabama 7-2; Williams Picks Up 199th Win

ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. -- The Tiger offense pounded out 10 hits, the pitching staff limited Central Alabama C.C. to just 4 hits while striking out 7, and Andrew rolled to a 7-2 win in Alexandria City, AL on Wednesday night, capturing Head Coach Blake Williams's 199th win as a head coach at Andrew College, far and away, the career leader for wins in Cuthbert. The Tigers are 7-1 on the young season. 

Shortstop Blake Falor paced the Tiger attack, going 3 for 3 and driving in a pair of runs, Griffin Long was 2 for 5, with a double and 3 RBI, and Kaleb Podger and JT Whatley both went 2 for 4 and scored twice to highlight the offense. Alex Jarrell (2-0) tossed 5.2 innings, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 3 to run his season record to 2-0.

The Tigers next scheduled game is on Monday, when they will take on Point Univ. JV at the Hord Athletic Complex in a 2:00 pm doubleheader.
