Tigers Split With Coastal Alabama - East

BREWTON, Ala. -- After dropping the opening game 9-2 against Coastal Alabama - East in Brewton, AL on Saturday, the Andrew College baseball team exploded for 7 runs in the top of the 4th inning in game two, and cruised to a 9-3 win in the nightcap. Colby Fields ran his record to 2-0 on the season, scattering 6 hits in 6 innings, allowing 3 runs, while striking out 4, and Cotton Phillips pitched a scoreless 7th inning.

Andrew Bourque went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBI, Kaleb Podger was 2 for 3 with a pair of runs scored, John "JoJo" Kelliher and Robert Malone each went 2 for 3, with Kelliher scoring once, and Joey Fletcher, Jake Edwards, and Jacob Pierce each had a hit and an RBI, as the Tigers pounded out 12 hits. The Tigers stole an astounding 14 bases in the game, led by Kelliher and Malone with 3, Podger, Fletcher, and Reid Ragsdale with 2 each, and Griffin Long and Tristan Driver with 1 each.
