Tigers Split With Coastal Ala.- East; Stout Dominates on Mound; McKay With Game Winner

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College baseball team split a doubleheader on Saturday at the Hord Athletic Complex against Coastal Alabama-East, dropping game one 7-1, then taking the nightcap 2-1, in 8 innings. Game two starter Jonah Stout dominated on the mound, scattering 4 hits over 7 innings, allowing only an unearned run, and striking out 8, before giving way to Lorne Barineau, who tossed a scoreless 8th inning and picked up his 2nd win on the season, when catcher Tyler McKay doubled in the game-winner in the bottom of the 8th inning for the walk off win.

Jacob Pierce and Joey Fletcher each went 2 for 3, with Pierce doubling and scoring once, and Robert Malone drove in the other Tiger run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 5th inning.

The Tigers travel to Andalusia, AL on Saturday to take on L.B.W. and Snead State in a pair of seven inning games.
