2019 Baseball Schedule Released
CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The baseball season is just right around the corner, and the coaching staff has released the 2019 baseball schedule. The much anticipated opening day is on Friday January 25th, with the Tigers traveling to Thomas University. The home opener will be the following Monday, January 28th doubleheader against the same Thomas University, starting at 3:00 pm. A stretch of away games will follow this up, as they will play their next seven games on the road against a bevy of tough opponents that will test the Tigers. The annual trip to Panama City, Florida for the Kevin Miller Classic hosted by Gulf Coast State College on February 1-3 will be the highlight trip early in the season to gauge the teams depth and start preparing for conference play starting early in March. The Fighting Tigers will get a reprieve from being on the road as they will play eight out of their next ten games at home on the beautiful fields at the Hord Athletic Complex. The only two away games during this stretch is being played as part of the Hits for Heroes event that is played in Dothan, Alabama and it's goal is to raise awareness for American soldiers who are still deployed, needs support, encouragement, or supplies.
The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association conference slate of games begin on March 2nd a Saturday opening up at Gordon State College for one game before playing a series with East Georgia State College the following week. Next up for Andrew College is a bye week from conference play and then they will finish up the season with twenty five games in a row in conference play. The GCAA plays a 5 game conference set against each team for a total of thirty conference games.
