Former Andrew Baseball Player Christian Aragon Signs With Los Angeles Angels

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Former Andrew College and University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Christian Aragon has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Angels. A left-handed pitcher from Fayetteville, GA and Whitewater High School, Aragon started his Tiger career in the bullpen, but quickly worked his way into the starting rotation. He appeared in 28 games over his career in Cuthbert, pitching 93 inninings and tallying 68 strike outs. 

Aragon was a second-team all-region selection in 2018. He picked up all-conference and all-tournament team accolades as well.

During his senior campaign, Aragon played in 17 games, earning 15 starts. He worked 81 innings, holding opponents to a .228 batting average. Aragon struck out 90 batters and wrapped up his senior season with a 9-1 record. He garnered PBC and NCBWA Pitcher of the Week honors.

In two seasons with the Pacers after transferring from Andrew College, Aragon completed his career with a 13-4 record. He appeared in 40 games, earning 23 starts. He tallied 141 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .268 batting average.

 Aragon is the 2nd professional signee for Head Coach Blake Williams, and the 7th signee from Andrew College
