Lee Fans 11; Hunter Picks Up Win; Tigers Sweep Point Univ. JV

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- On a cold, blustery Monday at the Hord Athletic Complex, the Tigers got back to their winning ways, against the Point University JV, riding Daniel Lee's superb start for a 7-0 win in game one, then, Omari Hunter knotched his 1st collegiate win in the 10-5 victory in game two.

Lee was dominant in 6 innings of work, fanning 11, allowing just 2 hits, and no runs, to run his season record to 3-2 on the season. Hunter Norman made his 2018 debut, almost one year removed from Tommy John surgery, to pitch a scoreless 7th inning. Brent Todys paced the offense, going  3 for 4, with a double, an RBI, and 2 runs scored, while Dahlton Cash and Will Barry each doubled in a run, Kodi Bishop had a hit and an RBI, and Kelsey Weems was 1 for 2 with a double, as the Tigers cruised to the 7-0 win.

Game two, saw Hunter throw 4 innings, allow just 2 hits, while striking out 3 to pick up the win. Barry was 2 for 2, with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored, Weems went 2 for 3, with a double, an RBI, and a pair of runs scored, and Cash was 1 for 2, with 2 RBI, and a pair of runs scored, to lead the offense in the 10-5 win in the nightcap.

The Tigers are back at Hord on Wednesday with a doubleheader against the Thomas University JV, first game is at 3:00 pm.
