PHENIX CITY, Ala. -- Kevin Donovan(2-3) threw 8 innings of shut out ball, scattering 2 hits, and striking out 7, while the offense pounded out 15 hits, as the visiting Tigers dominated national power Chattahoochee Valley Community College, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon. Darrell Woodall pitched a scoreless 9th inning, striking out 1, to pick up his 2nd save on the season, as the staff limited the Pirates to just 6 base runners.

Brenton Phillips led the offense, going 2 for 5, with a double, a run scored, and a pair of RBI, Brent Todys went 3 for 5 and an RBI, Matthew Holloway added a 2 for 4 with an RBI, Dahlton Cash doubled twice, and Kelsey Weems went 2 for 5.

The Tigers open GCAA play at the Hord Athletic Complex on Saturday, with a single nine-inning game, first pitch at 2:00 pm.
