Tigers Rally For 6 Runs in the 7th & 8th Innings; Knock Off Wallace-Dothan 9-6

DOTHAN, Ala. -- The Tigers rode 6 RBI from catcher Brent Todys Friday night to knock off 10th ranked Wallace State-Dothan 9-6. The Tigers have taken 2 of 3 from the Govenors this spring.

After falling behind 5-3 through 6 innings, the Tigers put up 3 runs in each of the 7th and 8th innings, then rode 3.0 innings of relief from Darrell Woodall, who picked up his 1st save of the season, to secure the win. Todys was 2 for 5 on the night, with a double and a triple, and 6 RBI. Matthew Holloway was 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored, Brenton Phiilips had a hit and an RBI, while also scoring 3 times, and Jordan Holt had a hit and an RBI.

Daniel Lee(2-1) pitched 5 innings, striking out 3, while scattering 10 hits to pick up the win.

The Tigers take on Gulf Coast State (FL) on Saturday in a 1:00 pm doubleheader.
