Tigers Get Outstanding Performance From Donovan, But Fall To Wallace-Dothan 2-0

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Kevin Donovan, who was part of a opening game no-hitter against Thomas University JV, turned in a stellar start on Tuesday night at the Hord Athletic Complex, pairing with Darrell Woodall to shut down powerhouse Wallace State-Dothan (AL), but the Tigers could only muster 5 hits on the night and fell 2-0.

Donovan(1-3) pitched 7 innings, scattering 6 hits, allowed just 1 earned run, while striking out 8, and Woodall finished up with 3 strikeouts in 2 innings of work, also allowing just 1 earned run, but the lack of offense doomed the Tigers. Collin Chambers, who tripled, Dahlton Cash, Brenton Phillips, Clint Sellers and Jimmy Fackler were the only hits for the Tigers.

The Tigers return to Hord on Wednesday afternoon for a single nine inning game against Tallahassee Community College (FL). First pitch is at 4:00 pm.
