Tigers Beat East Ga. 6-5 in Series Opener

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Tigers rode a two-run homer from Mike Branche, a 2-RBI triple from Collin Chambers, a strong start from Jaquarious Glover, and a standout 3.2 innings of relief from Logan Foster to nail down their 25th win of the season, and run their GCAA record to 8-5 on the season. Chris Schwarzer drove him in with RBI ground out . Connor Nalley and Jalin Thomas followed with singles, then Collin Chambers yanked a triple down the 1st base line to drive in a Nalley and Thomas, and Jordan Holt closed out the Tiger scoring with a sacrifice fly to drive in Chambers.

Glover picked up his 4th win of the season, going 5.1 innings, striking out 3, and allowing 3 earned runs, before giving way to Foster, who allowed 4 hits and an unearned run, while striking out 2, in his longest relief appearance of the season, to earn his 4th save of the year.

The Tigers conclude the series in Swainsboro, Ga. with a single nine-inning game on Friday, and a doubleheader on Saturday.
