Thomas Tosses 1-Hit Shutout; Tigers Split Series With West Ga. Tech

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Left-hander Jordan Thomas threw just 68 pitches in a dominating effort, tossing a complete game 1-hit shutout on Saturday at the Hord Athletic Complex against West Ga. Tech to pick the win 2-0. It is the Tigers 22nd win of the season. Thomas struck out 6, faced the minimum of 21 batters, picked up his 4th win of the season, and lowered his ERA to 3.35 on the year. Collin Chambers tripled in Mike Branche in the bottom of the 2nd inning, then scored on Jalin Thomas's single for the only two runs of the game, on the Tigers only two hits of the game.

Brandon Brown was the tough luck loser in game two, pitching a complete game, allowing just 3 hits, striking out 4, and allowing only a single unearned run, but West Ga. Tech starter Jake McLinskey threw a 1-hitter to shut out the Tigers 1-0.

The Tigers took game one 4-2 in Carrollton on Tuesday night, dropped the Friday night single nine inning game 11-4, before splitting Saturday's doubleheader to split the series with West Ga. Tech.

The Tigers have just a doubleheader against Thomas University JV on Wednesday of next week before returning to GCAA play with a four game series versus East Ga. State the following week.
