Glover Dominates; Tigers take over 1st Place

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Jaquarious Glover threw his second complete game of the season, allowing just 5 hits, striking out 5, and giving up only a solo home run, as the Tigers took over sole possession of 1st place in the GCAA standings with a 6-1 win over Georgia Highlands on Tuesday night at the Hord Athletic Complex.

Glover threw just 107 pitches in the nine inning affair, induced two double plays to get out of the only jams of the night, picked up his 2nd win of the year, and lowered his ERA to 1.87.

Mike Branche put the Tigers ahead in the bottom of the 5th inning with a 2-RBI single and finished 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI, Chris Schwarzer went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Andrew Compton and Josh Peters both went 2 for 4 with a run scored, Dalhlton Cash added a 2 for 5, and Jordan Holt chipped in a 1 for 3 and drove in a run with a bases loaded walk.

The win moves the Tigers to 19-16 overall and 4-1 in the GCAA. They travel to LakePoint to to finish the series with Highlands this weekend, playing a single nine inning game on Friday, then a doubleheader on Saturday.
