Glover Throws Complete Game; Schwarzer Wins With Walk-Off Single

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Jaquarious Glover allowed just 4 hits and 1 earned run, while striking out 4 to record his 1st win of the year, while lowering his ERA to a team-leading 1.44, and Chris Schwarzer drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning with a walk-off drive to left field and the Tigers took game one 3-2 at the Hord Athletic Complex on Friday night. The Tigers dropped the nightcap 4-3.

Connor Nalley went 3 for 3 in game one, while Mike Branche went 2 for 4 with a double. Glover's 1.44 ERA leads the GCAA in that category.

In game two, Andrew Compton and Nalley both had a pair of hits, and the Tigers had the winning run at 3rd base, when the game ended on a ground out. Reagan Anderson came in and pitched 4 innings of shutout ball, allowing just 1 hit, no runs, while striking out 6.

The Tigers open GCAA play this coming week, with a four-game series against ABAC. They are in Tifton, Ga. for a 6:00 pm single game on Tuesday, at Hord for a 6:00 pm single game on Friday night, then finish up with a doubleheader on Saturday at Hord, first game at 1:00 pm.
