Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Blake Williams Honored at GCAA Fall Meeting

MACON, Ga. -- Andrew College Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Blake Williams was recognized at the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Fall Meeting for his 10 years of service in the GCAA. Williams has been a baseball coach at Andrew College for ten years, including eight as the Head Coach, and has been the Athletic Director for the past three years.

Since becoming head coach, Williams has seen 74 former players sign scholarships with four-year institutions, including an Andrew College record of 13 student-athletes in 2016. This past season recorded a program-high 4 NCAA Division I signees, as well as 4 NCAA Division II signees, and 3 NAIA signees. He has amassed close to 200 wins, finished 3rd in the 2017 GCAA Baseball Championships, after starting as the 6th seed, and just this past week, saw former player, Chandler Raiden (2016), be promoted to the Tampa Bay Ray's Double A Affliate, the Montgomery Biscuits.

As Athletic Director, Williams oversees 10 NJCAA Division I sports, which include over 140 athletes.
